PEDIATRIC HEART SURGERY

Pediatric Heart Surgery is a demonstration of how Rotary works from the heart. The opportunity arose as Rtn. Dr. S. M. Kamrul Hassan, MD is a member and PP A.B. Kutubuddin Ahmed is a keen social worker known for his soft heart and receives information from around the country about challenging opportunities for service. The 2 co-chairs work together with some financial support of members and PP Kutubuddin's friends outside of Rotary to give an opportunity of life to patients who Doctor's feel would not survive beyond their teens with the congenital defects they were born with.

Doesn't She look like a wonderful child. Ready to jump into life as she was being released from the hospital. She will be able to lead a normal life going forward, without surgical intervention her life would have been foreshortened in a short while. MIRACLE OF SCIENCE and A MIRACLE OF ROTARY

Shakib was in respiratory crisis. He needed immediate corrective surgery, otherwise he was expected to not survive beyond 36-48hours. Dr. Kamrul Hasan was moved and the Co-chairs went into action. Even after the surgery the recovery was trying and as Dr. Kamrul said later, we almost lost him a couple of time. But in the end he is up and won't even realize the seriousness of his crisis as he grows up carefree, vibrant and happy at least physically.
